Npower is now the third largest energy provider who has increased prices which adds about £9 per month to customer’s monthly bills starting on the 26th of November. The energy company has made this move after British Gas also increased their prices by 6 percent in the coming month of November. Npower will have a 9.1 percent increase for electricity prices and 8.8 percent for gas prices. Npower has about three million consumers all over the country. At the moment, EDF and Scottish Power have not yet increased their prices. However, analysts say that there is a big possibility that these energy companies will also do the same. According to Clare Francis who is the consumer finance expert from MoneySupermarket.com, “Following confirmation from British Gas this morning that energy prices are to increase by six percent next month, it has taken Npower no time at all to follow with a price rise of 8.8 percent for gas and 9.1 percent for electricity.
